Why choose concrete curbing?
The Process
Quote & Schedule
A design consultation and quote allows us to see the areas you are interested in curbing, discuss possible color and texture options and take measurements. You will receive the quote via email and can schedule the installation when you are ready.
Before We Arrive
We will arrive on the date we agree on and will give you a small window to know what time you can expect us. We ask that you mow, trim and poop scoop in the few days before we come which helps us keep your property as clean as possible. Please mark underground sprinklers, buried low voltage wiring (landscape lighting), underground dog fencing, pop up drains and anything else we should be cautious of while working.
Installation
Our team arrives with 2 trucks/trailers and will set up on the street whenever possible. We prepare the ground by marking out the path to curb and cutting away an 8" strip of sod with a sod cutter. Concrete is mixed onsite with integral color and admixtures to add strength and workability before it is extruded through our machine. The curb is smoothed, colored, carved or stamped and sealed with a solvent-based sealer.
After We Leave
Our clean up includes the removal of as much “slag” (excess concrete next to curb) as possible. There may be slight gap in places between grass and curb due to shape of our curb machine and path of curb. This will naturally fill in over time or can be seeded. Be careful not to let pets or people on the curb and avoid mowing and watering for 24 hours. Also, be cautious when trimming, mowing and using sharp tools until curb is fully cured (roughly 3 weeks).
